Zum frühesten Beleg siehe Clarysse, W. / Paganini, M.C.D., Theophoric Personal Names in Graeco-Roman Egypt. The Case of Sarapis, APF 55, 2009, 68-89, hier: S. 75, Anm. 23: "The text is dated in a seventeenth year attributed to Euergetes by the editors; the sums mentioned go down to obols, which suggests a date before 211 BC. Though the title archisômatophulax (l. 6), is unexpected before the reign of Epiphanes, the third century date is accepted by L. Mooren, The Aulic Titulature in Ptolemaic Egypt. Introduction and Prosopography (Brussels 1975) 79 nr. 039."

ὁ τῶν φίλων, ὁ αρχισωματοφύλαξ und ὁ σωματοφύλαξ, alle mit dem Zusatz βασιλέως, waren "echte" Hofrangtitel. IV 573, 6 [10.10. 231 v. Chr.; u.O.], P.Petr. III 53 M 2, L, 3-4 [10.03. 229 v. Chr. / 226 - 225 v. Chr.; Arsinoites], WChr. 410, 7-8 [ 24.02. 227 v. Chr.; Arsinoites]).
